The Breckenridge dining scene has a new addition of La Francaise Bistrot at 411 S Main St in the lower level. It was recently opened by the owners of La Francaise Bakery, which is next door.

I had the pleasure of dining at La Francaise Bistrot and I was not disappointed. It’s in a cozy space that seats about 30 people and has a great french bistro menu. When trying a new french restaurant I have to try the french onion soup to see how it compares to others and La Francaise’s Bistrot version seemed like slight twist with a delicious broth and just the right amount of cheese. It went down well with Taittinger champagne, which is sold by the glass.

Bearnaise sauce is one of my favorite culinary things in life so I was very excited to see it as an option with the Steak Frites which was so delicious I ate it before even taking a picture!

I’ll be back soon to try the Boeuf Bourguignon.

Le Francaise Bistrot is open Thursday through Monday from 5-9:30 pm.
